Koos Blaazer General Manager LNGEurope

Koos Blaazer (1952) managing partner of LNGEurope, has 20 years of experience in the use of natural gas for propulsion. As director of a gas grid operator Koos was closely involved with the initiation of CNG in the Netherlands. During this period he was co-founder of a cogeneration company supplying energy to greenhouses.

From early 2010 on, at the Oss facility, LNGEurope supplies liquefied methane as a fuel for midsize and large combustion engines. Customers are Vos Logistics and van Gansewinkel Groep among others.  In the Amsterdam Area a second facility is operational since Q4 2011. Together with the Shipping group Doeksen,  LNGEurope is preparing the construction of a small import- annex bunker terminal at Harlingen Harbor. LNGEurope is funded by private equity.

Koos obtained an MSc in Mechanical Engineering at the Delft University of Technology and a MBA at the Rotterdam School of Management
